About Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme
Enforced by the government starting from December 2000, all employers and employees, except those with exemptions, are requested to participate in the compulsory saving scheme.
MPF works in a way that both employers and employees have to make mandatory contributions to the contribution accounts. Mandatory contributions are calculated as a 5% on the basis of employee’s relevant income.
