Attention to all the dearest clients of our Virtual Office services! In order to comply with the law, it is necessary to submit the original copy of the Business Registration Certificate to OneStart for retention, or else you could be held liable.
Why submit?
According to The Business Registration Ordinance, all persons who run a business in Hong Kong, whether as a sole proprietor, partnership or limited company, are required to register with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) within one month from the commencement date of business and display a valid Business Registration Certificate (BR) at the business place.
As a licensee of the Trust or Company Service Provider Licence (TCSP Licence), OneStart is required to display a valid Business Registration Certificate, which can be presented for inspection upon request by the authority.
Therefore, clients of our Virtual Office services are required to provide OneStart with a valid Business Registration Certificate with the BR fee paid. If the registration certificate is issued in electronic form, a hard copy of it must also be submitted.
Legal Consequences
Failure to comply with the above Ordinance may result in a maximum fine of $5,000 and imprisonment for one year.
To smoothen your work, remember to submit the aforementioned documents to OneStart on time. For more information, please call 3575 0222 or WhatsApp our Client Service Specialists.
